Our clients get access to their Demat accounts through the Internet and obtain depository related information. The various user-specific facilities and benefits are:
easy, which enables a 'Demat Account Holder or Beneficial Owner' (BO) / 'Broker or Clearing Member' (CM) to view the holdings and transactions online.
easiest, which enables a BO/CM to enter debit/credit instructions on the Internet.
Electronic Access to Securities Information (easi) easi is a convenient, simple to operate facility, which allows a registered BO to access his demat account through the Internet for obtaining information about his holdings and transactions, anywhere, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, through CDSL's website www.cdslindia.com.
Benefits of easi to BO:
1) Anytime-anywhere access of the holdings and transactions.
2) Viewing and printing the balances and transactions in his account.
3) Viewing and printing the value of his holdings in his account as of the previous day's closing price on BSE.
Benefits of easi for Clearing Member:
1) Viewing and printing of holdings in his settlement accounts.
2) Obtaining upto the moment status of pay-in and pay-out details.
3) Viewing the status of various instructions.
4) Obtaining a download of above mentioned details (in CSV or HTML format) for updating his back office.
5) Viewing the value of his various holding as of the previous day's closing price at BSE.
Electronic Access To Securities Information and Execution of Secured Transaction (easiest) easiest is an internet facility which permits BOs/CMs to submit debit/credit transaction instructions to effect off-market, on-market, inter-depository and early pay-in transactions. Moreover, all the facilities and benefits of easi are automatically available to a subscriber of easiest.
There are two options available on easiest:
1) Trusted account - Transfers
2) Trusted accounts are settlement accounts your CM. A BO can specify upto 4 such CM settlement accounts.
Transfer of securities through on-market or off-market will be permitted to the specified CMs. Setting up of transactions through trusted account option will be permitted by additional password (PIN), which will be mailed separately. Under the trusted account option only 'off-market', 'on-market' and 'early pay-in' transfers will be permitted.
Account of choice - Transfers In the account of choice option, transfer of securities will be permitted to any demat account using a digital signature stored on e-token (device provided by CDSL at an additional cost, which stores the digital signature).
CMs will have account of choice option only and must procure e-token for authenticating transactions.
